A colheita de algod\u00e3o entra na fase final no oeste da Bahia e traz alegria para os agricultores: ser\u00e1 uma das maiores safras j\u00e1 registradas no estado.<\/p>\n

\"\"A Bahia \u00e9 o segundo maior produtor de algod\u00e3o do pa\u00eds, atr\u00e1s de Mato Grosso. Neste ano, a \u00e1rea plantada cresceu em 30%. A produtividade aumentou 3%, chegando a 320 arrobas por hectare. A Bahia est\u00e1 colhendo a sua segunda melhor safra de algod\u00e3o de todos os tempos \u2013 ser\u00e3o 1,2 milh\u00e3o de toneladas, sendo 520 mil s\u00f3 de pluma.<\/p>\n

A colheita no estado deve ir at\u00e9 o pr\u00f3ximo dia 20; at\u00e9 agora, 80% foi finalizada. Segundo a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Baiana de Produtores de Algod\u00e3o (Abapa), o pre\u00e7o agrada. A arroba \u00e9 comercializada a R$ 110, R$ 20 a mais que na \u00faltima safra.<\/p>\n

De acordo com Lidervan Morais, diretor da Abapa, deve haver um incremento de 20% na \u00e1rea plantada j\u00e1 no pr\u00f3ximo ano. Al\u00e9m disso, est\u00e1 em alta a procura pelo algod\u00e3o brasileiro no mercado internacional.<\/p>\n
