O diretor-geral da OMS, Tedros Ghebreyesus, disse nesta sexta-feira (30) em uma coletiva de imprensa em Genebra que a pandemia vai terminar “quando o mundo escolher acaba com ela”<\/em><\/strong>. “Est\u00e1 em nossas m\u00e3os. Temos todos os instrumentos, podemos prevenir, podemos testar e tratar”<\/em><\/strong>, disse. Mas ele alertou que, nas \u00faltimas semanas, a tend\u00eancia \u00e9 alarmante e vai exatamente no sentido contr\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Novos casos de contamina\u00e7\u00e3o e mortes continuam a subir. Foram 4 milh\u00f5es de novos casos em uma semana. Nesse ritmo, vamos ultrapassar a marca de 200 milh\u00f5es de infectados em duas semanas, sendo ainda que sabemos que esse \u00e9 um n\u00famero subestimado”<\/em><\/strong>, apontou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De acordo com Tedros, houve um aumento no n\u00famero de novos casos de contamina\u00e7\u00e3o em 80% em um m\u00eas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
