O taxista David Perry trancou, dentro do carro, um suspeito que transportava uma bomba caseira em Liverpool, no Reino Unido, neste domingo (14). O ve\u00edculo explodiu em frente a um hospital e o passageiro morreu. O motorista foi socorrido a uma unidade de sa\u00fade, mas j\u00e1 recebeu alta e est\u00e1 bem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pol\u00edcia do Reino Unido informou que foi alertada sobre a situa\u00e7\u00e3o por volta das 11h (8h de Bras\u00edlia). No momento da explos\u00e3o, centenas de soldados, veteranos e outros cidad\u00e3os se reuniam a algumas centenas de metros da Catedral de Liverpool em um ato de homenagem \u00e0s v\u00edtimas da guerra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perry foi declarado um her\u00f3i pela prefeita de Liveroool, Joanne Anderson, por ter impedido o ataque terrorista. “O taxista, em seus esfor\u00e7os heroicos, conseguiu impedir o que poderia ter sido um desastre absolutamente terr\u00edvel no hospital”<\/em><\/strong>, disse a prefeita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entre este domingo e segunda-feira (15), quatro homens foram detidos na cidade com base na lei antiterrorismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
