Var\u00edola dos macacos, ou Monkeypox, ainda n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma emerg\u00eancia de sa\u00fade global, decidiu a Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial da Sa\u00fade (OMS) no \u00faltimo s\u00e1bado (25), embora o diretor-geral da OMS, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, tenha dito estar profundamente preocupado com o surto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEstou profundamente preocupado com o surto de var\u00edola, esta \u00e9 claramente uma amea\u00e7a \u00e0 sa\u00fade em evolu\u00e7\u00e3o que meus colegas e eu na Secretaria da OMS estamos acompanhando de perto\u201d,<\/em><\/strong> disse Tedros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Segundo a nota divulgada pela organiza\u00e7\u00e3o, o \u201cdiretor-geral da OMS concorda com o conselho oferecido pelo Comit\u00ea de Emerg\u00eancia do RSI em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao surto de var\u00edola em v\u00e1rios pa\u00edses e, no momento, n\u00e3o determina que o evento constitua uma Emerg\u00eancia de Sa\u00fade P\u00fablica de Interesse Internacional (ESPII)\u201d<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
